At the end of another successful term of training, there have been three highlights for of our more senior cadets:
Bea How (Clarkson) went to Bavaria at half term for a national cadet skiing course with www.armycadetadventure.co.uk where she was upgraded to the advanced course, which is the first time this level has been offered to cadets. It gave the opportunity for the young people to master the skills necessary to tackle the challenges of off-piste skiing, avalanche awareness and cross-country skiing. Bea had a fantastic time, learnt a great deal and shared a unique experience with likeminded peers. She is now looking forward to summer camp at Nesscliff and her intermediate rock climbing week in North Wales, which will prepare for her 10 day 'Spanish rock' experience in October.
Hot off the press, RAF cadets Harrison Crombie (Tudor) and Ben Bush (Tudor) have been selected for the National Air Cadet Leadership course at the home of RAF officer selection and training at Cranwell. These are week long events where the cadets will be challenged both physically and mentally. They will be shown a range of leadership strategies and then given opportunities to draw upon that 'toolkit' in different scenarios.
