Wrekin College

DESTINATION OF LEAVERS

Though Wrekin College is a non-selective school, we take great pride that almost all our student leavers move on to university in the UK with Nottingham and Liverpool being particularly popular and a percentage of our students progressing to 'Oxbridge' universities. In recent years there has been increased interest in applying to universities in the USA and Europe.

In recent years:

• 92% of the Upper Sixth Form applied for university.
• 77% of students who applied through UCAS secured a place at their first choice of university.
• 40% secured a place at a Russell Group, university and 11% at a’1994’ establishment.

Wrekin College students also go on to gain much coveted places on School Leaver programmes in large corporations, study vocational courses and undertake voluntary work both in the UK and overseas.
