The range and quality of co-curricular activities available to every pupil is outstanding, especially for a school of our size. Our pupils’ development and achievements in these areas are supported by wonderful facilities and highly dedicated staff.
Our youngest pupils participate in the nationally accredited Arts Award, drawing together their achievements across creative and performing arts, and as they move up the school they discover new challenges in the Combined Cadet Force and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Pupils of all ages also enjoy an extensive package of sports and other activities.
We firmly believe in the importance of making the most of all that is on offer here. Participation, challenge and achievement across the board help our pupils grow into mature, responsible young people, and alongside the traditional values of discipline and respect, Wrekinians learn to believe in, to value and respect themselves.
To quote one senior student: “When I look back over the years I’ve spent at Wrekin, I realise how much I have grown as an individual: I have become more open-minded, more rounded and more confident in myself. This is because Wrekin celebrates the achievements of the individual as well as acknowledging the importance of the community.”
