The curriculum in the first three years offers pupils a wide range of subjects without constraining them to any areas of specialism. Every pupil studies English Language, English Literature, Maths, French, German, Spanish, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Design Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Art, Music, Physical Education and Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE). There is also an extensive co-curricular package of games and other activities. The Lancaster pupils participate in the nationally accredited Arts Award, drawing together their achievements across creative and performing arts.
Third Form provides a ‘launching pad’ for the two-year GCSE courses. Advice on suitable GCSE choices is based on assessment throughout the year and performance in internal examinations.
