Wrekin College

At Wrekin College we are committed to ensuring that our pupils eat nutritious, healthy and enjoyable meals.

All our meals are eaten in the newly refurbished Dining Hall by pupils and teachers alike. Our caterers, have a strong track record in the independent school food service market and have been working with us over the past nine years. The catering team is led by Ruth Kerrigan, General Catering Manager, and together with the Head Chef, they are driven to deliver a variety of superb quality food.

As well as being awarded five Scores on the Doors after the recent audits from the local environmental health - the top score possible - we are proud to announce that both Wrekin College and The Old Hall School are part of The Healthier Catering Commitment scheme.

The Healthier Catering Commitment is a scheme in Telford and Wrekin which aims to promote eating a nutritious, balanced diet which is important in maintaining health and reduces the risk of a number of diseases.

The award recognises that we demonstrate a commitment to provide healthier choices by reducing the level of saturated fat, sugars and salt content in our foods, offering healthy options.
