Wrekin pupils contine to do extremely well in the National Maths Challenge competitions.
In the recent senior competition over 80% of the pupils who took part earned certificates in this highly competitive contest, an outstanding achievement.
A special mention must go to Lower Sixth pupil Andy Liu who did so well he qualified for the Olympiad round, not the first time he has achieved this feat. To get to this stage you have to be in the top 1% in the country and have performed at a level well about the required threshold for a Gold certificate.
Special congratulations also go to Eric and Vicky Huang who both gained bronze certificates, a fantastic achievement as they are only in Fifth Form and therefore three years below most of the students in the competition.
Well done to all pupils who took part.
