Cardiac Risk in the Young Screening 2018

Wrekin College are delighted that CRY for Matthew will return again next year to carry out valuable heart screening, the dates for this are

5 and 6 May 2018

During 2017 CRY for Matthew screened over 400 young hearts and raised over £15,000 to help repeat this life-saving screening again next year. The cost of screening has now been increased to £50 per person, which is still a very small amount to pay to know that your child is fit and healthy.

Again this year, CRY for Matthew screening discovered instances where a young person seemed to be fit and healthy but was found to have a life-threatening condition. Within days one young man was in hospital having the lifesaving operation he needed. He was very lucky, twelve others every week aren’t.

In 2018, there will be six days of screening booked at a cost of £30,000.
