Lancaster Drama

With much excitement and great preparation, Lancaster House put on a their latest Drama Snow White and the Seven Robbers by Geoff Bamber on 16 November.

When King Benedict decides to take a new wife, life for his beautiful daughter, Snow White, takes a turn for the worse. The evil Queen Dragomira is consumed by jealousy and acquires a magic mirror which she hopes will confirm her as the 'fairest in the land.' The young princess is cast out into the forest to die but the interventions of a group of inept robbers and an even more inept prince save her life...

The First Form pupils and Lower Sixth Form directors rose to the challenge; the result was a funny, well-timed play which had the audience in stitches. The adjudicator, Richard Cowley, Head of Drama at Packwood Haugh School awarded best actor prizes to Poppy Reeves, Hugo Negron-Jennings, Hope Brown and Rio Silva. Best direction was awarded to Boscobel (Josh Kemp, Ryan Lloyd, Oliver Haigh,Tom Gittins and Cybil Ogude) and overall winner to Clun. Well done everyone!
