A total of 51 CCF cadets also took part in the act of Remembrance in Wellington. The members of the contingent who took part were a real credit to themselves and the school, all the more impressive as 32 were Third Formers who have only had a few hours of drill practice since joining the contingent in September. They were not even phased by the hail falling during the "Last Post". It was, we think, WO2 Fanneran’s 32nd time taking the lead of proceedings; marshalling the parade for the town of Wellington.
At Wrekin’s Chapel service Captain Richard Nicholls laid the wreath on behalf of the Old Wrekinain Association. He was a key member of the CCF contingent between 2003 and 2007 as part of the RAF section.
