Thought for the DayMon 15 May 2017
We all use the word ‘respect’ quite often. But what does it mean? It means esteem for the worth or excellence of a person. So in other words, it is appreciating and being understanding of the beliefs, actions and behaviours of the people around you. It may not be easy to show respect for everyone and everything they do but it is important that you try.
Respect doesn’t just apply to people — it applies to possessions as well, so, while I am talking to you now and reminding you of the importance of respect, I am also reminding you to look after and respect the things you have because although the way you behave doesn’t cost a penny, it can mean the world to someone around you or maybe even yourself. And remember, treat everyone with kindness and respect, even if they are rude to you — not because they are nice but because you are.
Respect each peer
Respect an enemy more
Attributes stand next to your conscience's core
Respect what you have
Respect your life
This is how we as people will thrive
