The pupils all met at the CCF area and a full kit check was done. It was getting cold already and it was raining so it looked like the day was going to be a challenging one!
The three groups then set off for a very effective training walk up in the high Berwyn Mountains. They had every kind of weather to cope with short of snow - beautiful sunshine with stunning rainbows, strong winds, driving rain, and hail too. Expert instruction was given by Jeremy Ballard, Mick Baker and his son Shaun as well as Sam Brennan. The pupils are lucky to have this level of instruction from some very experienced staff members. They all got a great deal from the day and we were impressed with their enthusiasm.
This all bodes well for the future.
