This morning in Chapel, Mrs Clarke spoke about this week being Eating Disorder Awareness Week, she said:
'... the charity Beat, which stands for beating eating disorders, is doing much to raise awareness surrounding eating disorders. Any pupils who may wish to discuss such issues further are always welcome to drop into the Medical Centre at any convenient time around lessons and the Medical Centre nurses have asked me to remind you about their open-door approach to this and to any other medical matters which you might wish to raise.
'On Friday 3 March it’s Beat’s official Sock It To Eating Disorders Day when the charity aims to raise money by getting people to wear a crazy pair of socks for the day.
'The school would like to support this very important charity and this particular event, so for just a £1 donation pupils will be allowed to don a pair of crazy socks! Boys will be allowed to tuck trousers into their socks!'
