Only two cricket matches survived the rain. The Under 12s scored a competitive 83-8 at Packwood Haugh School against a very strong outfit. Our opening partnership of 50 set the tone, Toby Davies top scoring with 28. In reply, two early run out and some tight bowling gave us a glimmer of hope but as the rain fell, Packwood accelerated their efforts, winning by seven wickets.
On Wednesday, the Under 15s struggled to take wickets, and catches, allowing Tettenhall College to set 132-3. On an outstanding batting track, good shots where followed up by soft dismissals, leaving Wrekin ten short.
The tennis team were also in action, securing a good win against Lucton School.
The Lancaster First Form boys team competed well in their first major competition, finishing fourth overall against 13 Telford and Wrekin schools.
On Saturday 10 June, over 35 pupils took part in the Shropshire Schools Athletics championships. There were many inspiring performances, lots of medals, selections for the Mason Trophy next weekend, and a couple of school records, including Reuben Crombie who knocked another 11 secs off his previous school record set a couple of weeks ago.
