The First XV Lost 39-5 away at Sandbach School in the Schools Cup on Wednesday and with injuries taking their toll, they also struggled against a strong King Henry VIII School team on Saturday.
The Second XV had a closer game, but also lost 17-7 to King Henry VIII School.
The Under 15A lost at Ellesmere College, one of the strongest sides in the competition, despite leading 12-10 early on.
The Under 14A had an excellent 65-7 win at home against Charlton School, moving the ball out to the wings with some impressive handling. They then lost 43-5 to King Henry VIII School on Saturday - a much stronger opposition.
The First XI had a good victory over Oswestry School on Wednesday in the Wrekin 7s Tournament, but lost their other matches therefore they didn’t get through the group stage.
On Saturday they travelled to Newcastle-under-Lyme School and played much better hockey, wining 5-1.
The Second XI lost 2-1 at William Brookes School on Thursday and found Newcastle-under-Lyme School's Under 16 team too strong, going down 3-0.
The Lancaster teams had mixed fortunes this week. The Under 13s suffered a heavy defeat against Ellesmere College and then played much better on Saturday only narrowly losing 8-7 to Newcastle-under-Lyme School. The Under 12s had two convincing victories. Firstly 2-1 v Ellesmere College and a convincing win 8-1 on Saturday v Newcastle-under-Lyme School.
