Anthony Francis-Jones


Anthony has been at Wrekin College since 2007 having previously taught both in English and Scottish schools. He teaches physics across the age range and has a particular interest in nuclear physics and its applications.

He has tutored in Bayley House since he arrived at Wrekin and is now resident as the Assistant Housemaster, a role that he greatly enjoys.

He is the Duke of Edinburgh Award Manager at the school, which holds its own licence to run the award. He takes a full and active role in all three levels of the award, training participants both in the classroom and out on the hills.

Outside of school life he chairs the Telford and Wrekin Local Access Forum advising on rights of way and countryside access, he is the District British Horse Society Access Officer, and chairs Telford Horse Riding and Access. As well as enjoying all aspects of outdoor pursuits Anthony holds a pilot’s licence and enjoys flying a Rallye out of Welshpool Airport.
