Cora grew up in Germany where she took her A Levels in English and German literature. After staying with part of her family in England for a year, she embarked on a two-year apprenticeship in roofing and carpentry back in her hometown. Then she studied Architecture in Cardiff and after completing her degree she moved to Bristol where she worked in set-building, small architects’ practices and on building sites.
Cora trained to be a Design and Technology teacher in 2000 and moved to Shropshire in 2001 to take up her post at Wrekin College. Apart from her interest in design and art she enjoys outdoor activities and has joined the sailing club at Wrekin College, becoming a dinghy instructor in 2003. She has taken many school groups abroad and takes part in our yearly camping weekend at Lake Bala. Cora contributes to the sets for the school plays and she is currently working on a part-time MA course in Chester in Creative Practices in Education. She lives with her family in a converted barn near the Welsh border.
