David joined Wrekin in 1991 as Head of History having previously taught at Westcliff High School in Essex. He studied his history degree at the University of East Anglia in Norwich and then completed his teaching qualification at Loughborough University. David also worked for many years as a team leader for the Edexcel A Level examination group. His interest in global politics stems from his enthusiasm for international relations. David also works as a tutor in Clarkson House.
Beyond the classroom David holds a strong interest in rugby football. He played first class rugby for Saracens and still enjoys both coaching the senior and junior squads and refereeing for the North Midlands Referees. He is also a keen cyclist and proud to have conquered the summit of Mont Ventoux.
