Grainne studied English Language and Literature at St. Anne’s College, Oxford. She spent a few years in recruitment before ‘seeing the light’, doing a PGCE and starting teaching. She has been at Wrekin since 2003 as Head of English and Drama and teaches English and Drama throughout the school as well as regularly producing school plays. She is also Assistant to Maureen Crone in Roslyn and a boarding tutor in Hadden.
Grainne has taught at a number of schools previously, including a two year stint at an international school in Madrid - she’s now a confirmed Hispanophile as a result. Grainne’s other interests include reading, theatre, cinema and travel. She also has two daughters.
