Kirsty joined the Maths department at Wrekin College in 2011 and began running the school's Careers Service shortly after. She also teaches A Level Economics to both the Upper and Lower Sixth Form in our new Business School.
Kirsty has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Economics from UCL, and after a year working as a Management Consultant in Essen in Germany, returned to London to complete her PhD in Economics at Imperial College Management School.
Before moving to Shropshire, she worked as an economist and manager in the rail industry, first at Railtrack/Network Rail, and latterly at South West Trains where she was the Head of Business Planning. Kirsty has plenty of business experience and professional contacts from her time studying and working in the city that she brings to her various roles at Wrekin College. She is married and has three children - a daughter who is a pupil at Old Hall School and two sons who are pupils at Wrekin College.
