Stella Clarke

Deputy Head Pastoral

Stella graduated from Birmingham University in 1980 with a BA Hons in Geography and a PGCE. She has worked at Wrekin College since 1987, originally teaching Geography part-time, leaving in 1990 to start her family. Having missed the place too much, she returned in 1992 as a full-time Geography teacher and shortly afterwards was appointed Assistant Housemistress of Roslyn. For over ten years she was in charge of the fencing team and the Sixth Form Club. She has also produced several school magazines alongside Sally Mostyn. In September 1997 Stella was appointed Senior Mistress and in January 2004 Deputy Head Pastoral.

Her two daughters attended Wrekin College. Her eldest went on to study English at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where she was awarded a scholarship and gained a double First Class BA in English; she is now working for a large publishing company in London. Her youngest graduated in 2015 from Bath University with a First Class BSc in Architecture and and in July 2017 was awarded a First class MArch also from Bath University

In her spare time she enjoys cooking - her favourite chef at the moment being Ottolenghi - and she also enjoys needlework and crafts.
