Michael studied French and Italian at Cambridge University and taught in Italy and Japan before returning to teach in London. He later trained for ordination as a minister in the Church of England at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and studied for a degree in Theology at Oxford University. After fifteen years in parish ministry Michael came to Wrekin as Chaplain in 2004. He attempts to combine both his teaching and pastoral experience as Chaplain at Wrekin. Michael currently teaches Religious Studies and Spanish and is a third form tutor in Bayley House.
He is the proud father of two Old Wrekinian sons, an avid reader, particularly of history, fiction and theology, and a lover of the cinema, art and good food (especially, but not exclusively, Italian). He has been known to undertake a long walk in the summer holidays from time to time.
