Tom is Head of Psychology and the Sixth Form. He has a role in a wide range of Sixth Form events including the very popular bar parties, as well as the Our House experience and Happiness Programme’ which are part of our Sixth Form Life Skills programme. He is also linked to Tudor House and is involved in Football. Tom also co-ordinates the journey towards university, helping with areas such as Personal Statements and UCAS applications.
Educated at Wolverhampton Grammar School, Mr Southall went to Exeter University, where he gained a First class honours degree in Cognitive Science. He then went on to spend a year working as a research assistant in the field of psycholinguistics whilst completing a Masters in Psychological Research Methods.
Outside of school he has a strong interest in the outdoors and can be found walking, mountain climbing or kite surfing both in the UK and abroad. He loves the rugged and unspoilt scenery of North Wales and will often be found in Snowdonia or the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula.
