TUDOR HOUSE

Tudor House is at the heart of the school and is the oldest of the current Houses. The house is home to seventy boys half of whom board full time, while the others go home each day or flexi board. The house has a very strong sporting tradition, currently holding the Senior Rugby trophy, having won it five times in the last six years. There are several common rooms and kitchens dotted around the house and the boys have ample opportunity to consume toast throughout the day!

Someone with a sense of humour built Tudor at the end of the nineteenth century. It appears confused from the outside and has many peculiarly shaped rooms. Nevertheless, it is a warm and friendly house where the boys are supported by an excellent team of tutors and sixth form pupils who are more than willing to spend time with the younger year groups. House events are always great fun and the Christmas Party is a particular highlight of the year.

In Tudor we expect the boys to give their best in all aspects of school life. Supporting each other is as important as participating and this Tudor spirit helps to create the special atmosphere in the House; it is why generations of boys have been proud to call it home.
