WREKIN COMMUNITY CHOIR IS RECRUITING - WE NEED YOU!

Wrekin College Community Choir needs you, on Wednesday evenings starting on 4 October at Wrekin College. 

Simon Platford, Director of Music at Wrekin College, aims to fill a stage full of hundreds of performers as he brings Carmina Burana, the scenic cantata composed by Carl Orff to life.

The production is the third such mammoth concert he has directed at Wrekin College, previously hosting a St George’s Day celebration and a performance of The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins.

Last year, 130 singers took part from choirs at Wrekin College and The Old Hall School together with the school’s chapel choir and the community choir - this year Mr Platford aims to recruit 200 singers! 

The choir takes place in the theatre at Wrekin College the first session will start at 8pm - future sessions will be at 7.30pm, to join and for further information contact Wrekin College's music department on music@wrekincollege.com
