Full tuition from a range of highly skilled teaching staff, and subject specialists.

Modern facilities

Use of enviable modern facilities including Innovation Lab, IT Suite, Music and Drama studio, individual music practice rooms, Art Studio, Library, Science Lab, two sports halls, floodlit all-weather playing surfaces and extensive playing fields.

Swimming for all

A swimming lesson for every pupil from Reception in our own swimming pool, every week.

Wrap around care

Our gates open at 8.15am with the day finishing at 3.30pm for Lower School (Reception, Yr 1 and 2) and 4.20pm for Upper School (Yr 3 upwards).

Wrekin Prep Horizons programme

A comprehensive and exciting carousel programme of extra-curricular activities, many of which at no additional charge, extending the school day to 4.20pm for Lower School and 5.30pm for Upper School. 
There is also a breakfast club from 7.30am for an additional charge.

Support for all pupils, prepared on a bespoke basis.

Learning Support

Extra support for those with learning differences.

Gifted and talented programme

To support those who need extra stretch and challenge.

Fabulous food

Every child given the chance to perform in at least one production per year, in our own theatre-style space with tiered seating for adults (ensuring a clear view) and full lights and sound.

This includes a number of home and away fixtures. All travel to away fixtures is included in the fee.

Preparing pupils for the transition to Wrekin Senior.

Outstanding modern facilities

Use of Wrekin’s outstanding facilities including Music School, dedicated Art School, Design and Technology workshop, purpose-built 200-seat theatre, fitness suite, squash courts, floodlit all weather sports pitches, cricket fields, rugby pitches, tennis and netball courts, Dance Studio, sports halls, six-lane 25m indoor swimming pool, Fives courts, indoor rowing facilities, ICT suites, library, Chapel and Sixth Form Centre.

Extended day

Houses open at 8am and close at 6pm allowing flexibility for drop-off and collection.

Lancaster activities programme

A specially designed activities programme for our Year 7 and 8 pupils, enhancing their curriculum and broadening horizons.

Character Adventure Training Programme

Our CCF Army and RAF sections, Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and our Employability curriculum work hand in hand to form our landmark Character Adventure Training programme, giving pupils the opportunity to develop key life skills to succeed in life after Wrekin.

Pastoral and wellbeing

Support for all pupils, prepared on a bespoke basis. Including onsite counselling opportunities if necessary.

Supporting you to plan

Bursaries, Fee Remission and Scholarships

Bursaries are means-tested and can provide assistance with fees. Parents' financial circumstances will be taken into account; please speak to our admissions department to find out more.

There are a range of other remissions available including sibling discounts when three or more children are in the Trust, as well as 10% remission for serving members of HM Armed Forces, Old Wrekinians and what were known as Old Hallians (for either school).

Scholarships are available for Wrekin Senior and Wrekin Sixth (not in Wrekin Prep) in various subjects: Academic, Art, Music, Sport, Dance, Drama or All-Rounder (known at Wrekin as a Pendle Award) and can carry with them a fee remission. Scholarships are only awarded through a competitive process to pupils of exceptional ability. 

Making Payments

Interest Fee monthly payments

To help plan for your child's education, Wrekin College offers a direct debit scheme, which divides the annual fee into 12 equal monthly payments. School Fee Plan* enables you to pay your school fees by monthly direct debit. You can apply online to pay your school fees by installments. It's quick, easy and once approved, we will notify the School Fee Plan of your termly fees.
