All part of the experience
We are proud that many UK and international pupils choose Wrekin College to be their ‘home away from home’ and, as such, we know that an active social programme is a vital part of their experience during their time with us.
Weekend trips and excursions are important to allow you some relaxation time, to have fun with your friends as well as make new ones, increase your cultural knowledge, and explore the UK. Wrekin College is lucky to be in an area steeped in history and beauty, and we take full advantage of our fantastic location when we plan our Weekend Adventures.
A new Weekend Adventure programme is prepared each term but trips may include:
- Visits to nearby historical locations of cultural interest such as London, Shrewsbury, Chester, Birmingham and Liverpool.
- Shopping trips including London, Birmingham and nearby Telford
- Watersports and Escape Rooms at Alderford Lake
- Bubble football
- Theme parks such as Drayton Manor Park.
Coupled with TWIG socials and food theme nights during the week, our boarders can enjoy a full and active social life while staying at Wrekin College.
