Laying the Foundations for Lifelong Learning at Wrekin Prep

In choosing Wrekin Prep, you elect to educate your child in a school that has, at its core, the aim of enabling every child to be the very best they can be.

At Wrekin Prep, your child will be given education without boundaries or ceilings, where children can learn and grow in a happy safe environment.

With a broad and balanced forward-thinking and innovative curriculum, we aim to build the foundations upon which all learning will be built. It is these foundations, as children start their Wrekin journey, that will ensure the strength and direction of their educational pathway for the rest of their lives.

Welcoming our new Head from January 2026 - Craig Williams

Craig Williams will become the new Head of Wrekin Prep from January 2026 having been Head of the highly successful Abingdon Prep School in Oxfordshire for the past eight years, and having taught in a number of the country’s top schools during his career.

After attending Bradfield College as a pupil, he went on to gain his degree in Geography from Oxford University, and has since taught at prep schools in Sussex, Somerset, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire.

A keen cricketer, Craig also enjoys teaching sport alongside academic subjects and will be moving to the Wrekin Prep community with his wife Hannah, young son Quinn, and yellow labrador Wicket.

Academic

An enhanced curriculum

Our outstanding prep curriculum is a vibrant adventure in learning within a challenging and stimulating environment. It embraces the academic and allows connections between subjects to be made, for learning to be themed with ‘hooks’ for learning and topics closing with a ‘fantastic finish’. It is a curriculum structure to enable children to meet or exceed age-related expectations at a prep school expected level.
