Year 1 Gets a Special Visit from a Fire Engine
Year 1 had an exciting visit from the local fire service. The pupils were thrilled to welcome a real fire engine into school and learn all about the important work firefighters do.
The firefighters talked to the pupils about their job and explained how they help keep people safe. The pupils were fascinated to hear about the different equipment carried on the fire engine and how it is used in emergencies.
Everyone had the opportunity to get involved. The pupils took turns using the fire hose and loved seeing how powerful the water was. They were also able to climb up into the fire engine and explore inside, which was definitely a highlight of the visit!
It was a fantastic experience for the pupils and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the role of firefighters in our community. A big thank you to the fire service for taking the time to visit us and share their important work with Year 1.
