Academic Poster Conference Showcases Intellectual Curiosity
The Memorial Hall was buzzing with energy as students, staff and visitors gathered for this year’s annual Academic Poster Conference. The event celebrated the hard work and intellectual curiosity of Fourth Form and Lower Sixth students.
The posters explored an impressive range of topics, from agriculture and artificial intelligence to fashion and even Jack the Ripper. Throughout the evening, students spoke confidently about their ideas, explained their research processes and answered thoughtful questions from visitors, demonstrating both depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for their subjects.
A central element of the project was the value of independent research. By learning how to question, investigate and evaluate information for themselves, students developed vital academic skills including critical thinking, problem-solving and confident communication.
The evening was a fantastic celebration of academic exploration, showcasing the curiosity, dedication and independence that underpin Wrekin learning.
