Art Round-Up
Year 4 have been developing their artistic skills by studying local landscapes, including the Wrekin. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists such as Paul Cézanne, J.M.W. Turner, and Vincent Van Gogh, pupils have explored how different painters use colour, texture, and movement to bring scenery to life.
Using acrylic paints, pupils experimented with a range of expressive brush stroke techniques, carefully observing how each artist created mood and atmosphere in their work. From Van Gogh’s bold, energetic strokes to Turner’s soft, blended effects and Cézanne’s structured style, Year 4 have embraced new methods with enthusiasm.

Year 3 have completed the next stage of their art project by adding colour to their clay mythical creature eyes. After carefully studying lizard eyes through detailed watercolour paintings and shaping their own designs in clay, pupils brought their creations to life with vibrant paint.

Year 6 have now completed the next stage of their Frozen Kingdoms art project by adding coloured backgrounds to their monoprints of endangered Arctic species.
