International Day

Our community came together to celebrate International Day, and we were delighted to welcome parents into the classrooms to present to our pupils about different cultures as part of a fantastic day of learning.

We are incredibly grateful to the parents who joined us, and what a pleasure it was to see all our pupils embracing and celebrating the joy in cultures from around the world.

Each classroom had the opportunity to immerse themselves in activities. We were taken to Japan where pupils tried their hand at Kendama and then off to Zimbabwe where we heard fantastic pieces of music on the Marimba. Pupils snacked on churros and decorated their very own traditional Troyan plates whilst learning about the Cyrillic alphabet. They adorned their arms in Indian bangles and saris and learnt about the importance of Gaitas in Spanish music. Towards the end of the morning, pupils enacted a spectacular Chinese dragon, a fantastic way to end such a vibrant day of learning.
