Old Wrekinian Association

This has been a busy term for the Old Wrekinian Association, the home of our alumni.

Old Yorks joined with staff as well as current pupils and parents for a gala dinner as the highlight of the year-long celebrations to commemorate 100 Years of York. Old Yorks returned to House for afternoon tea and tours of the House and campus, before joining pupils for a gala dinner and entertainment. It was wonderful to see Yorkies from across the ages join together to celebrate the history of this proud House.

Later in March we enjoyed the Old Wrekinan sports day where Old Wreks returned to play the school in hockey and netball. In hockey the girls 1st XI, 2nd XI and boys 1st XI lost against the OWA team, and the boys 2nd XI won 3-2. In netball there was a great competitive game where the Old Wrekinians saw the school First team take command, winning 45-31.
