Week In Wrekin

This week Old Hall pupils have had lots of fantastic experiences at Wrekin, spending a 'Week in Wrekin'.

Year 1 had a great time on the Wrekin College netball courts trying their hand at teamwork games. They had lots of fun!

Year 4 took a trip to the Wrekin College science labs to solve a crime in the lab using forensic investigation skills. With the help of some of Wrekin's scientists they managed to solve the crime.

Year 5 had a fantastic time in Wrekin's DT workshop, getting hands-on with thermoforming plastics.

Year 2 got creative at Wrekin's Art School, using oil pastels to create vibrant images of colourful animals and birds of paradise.

All of Old Hall joined Wrekin for their weekly Congregational Singing Practice, a memorable experience for all involved. It was wonderful to see the communities join together in song and raise the roof.

Reception had a workshop all about snowflakes with Mrs Boulter with a storytelling session in the library. They also made their own snowflakes and had a movement class in the Dance Studio.

Year 3 also headed to the Dance Studio to have a drama workshop. They worked together with Wrekin pupils to recreate scenes from a fairy tale, using the freeze-frame method to create the story.

Old Hall Chapel Choir and Band had a great afternoon at Wrekin's Music School, working with Lancaster Band and Choir to create a brilliant concert enjoyed by parents.

Year 6 had a fantastic morning of CAT (Character Adventure Training) with the Wrekin CAT team. They split into groups and tackled tricky teamwork games, tested their aim during paint-balling and had a race to see who could put up a D of E tent the quickest. The session ended with the arrival of an RAF helicopter on the Wrekin fields!

Finally the Old Hall community gathered in the Wrekin dining hall for a celebration.
