Year 1 Grandparents’ Tea Party

Celebrating Childhood Memories and Family Connections

Year 1 pupils were excited to welcome their grandparents and other family members to a very special end-of-term tea party, celebrating the conclusion of their 'Childhood' topic. Over the past weeks, pupils have been learning about life in earlier times and have enjoyed hearing from a series of speakers sharing their own experiences.

To make the event extra special, the children decorated Cranage Hall with colourful bunting and made their own party hats. Grandparents and family members shared photos and memories, sparking lovely conversations and giving pupils a real sense of what childhood was like in the past.

It was a joyful way to end the half-term, filled with laughter, learning, and treasured moments between generations. Everyone had a wonderful time, and it was a perfect reminder of the value of family connections and shared stories.
