Year 3 and 6: Art Update
Mythical Creations: From Watercolour to Clay
Since returning, our pupils have been engaging in exciting art projects across the school. In Year 3, the focus has been on creating detailed watercolour paintings of lizard eyes, followed by modelling eyes from mythical creatures in clay. Pupils are looking forward to painting their clay creations next week, developing both their practical skills and creativity.
Meanwhile, Year 6 have been honing their drawing skills using the grid method, focusing on endangered Arctic animals to link with their Geography studies. The pupils have made excellent progress, producing work that demonstrates careful observation, precision, and attention to detail.
Together, these projects showcase the range of artistic exploration taking place across the school, combining skill development, creativity, and connections to broader learning.
