Year 5 Explore Our Solar System
pupils Prepare for the upcoming Wonderdome visit
The Year 5 pupils have been busy exploring their space topic in preparation for the Wonderdome visit next Wednesday. As part of their learning, they have been finding out all about our solar system, developing their understanding of the planets and their relative sizes. To bring this learning to life, the pupils created a scale model of the solar system, using everyday objects such as peppercorns to represent Mercury and footballs to show the size of Jupiter. This practical activity helped to deepen their understanding and sparked lots of curiosity and discussion ahead of the upcoming visit.
