A Wrekin Tradition: The Annual Walk Up The Wrekin

You’re not a true Wrekinian until you’ve climbed the Wrekin! A highlight of the start of every school year, the annual walk brings the whole school community together to take on the famous Shropshire hill.

It’s a chance for pupils and staff to spend time together beyond the classroom, enjoy the great outdoors and begin the new school year with a shared experience. Whether it’s a first climb or a familiar journey, reaching the top is a reminder of the traditions and sense of community that make Wrekin special.

With another climb complete, the Wrekinian spirit is well and truly underway for the year ahead.
