Academic Lectures

During the second half of term we have had a wide variety of subjects and speakers both external and internal for our Academic Lecture series.

The first lecture of this half term was given by Old Wrekinian Mr Benjamin Bush, who is now a Tactical Communications Technician and Officer Cadet in the Royal Air Force. Ben gave a fascinating lecture about his career so far in the RAF, and how he became inspired to join.

Rev. Plummer gave a lecture about Failure and Rejection. Rev. Plummer talked about failure as a key stepping stone to success, and the importance of being able to recognise failure and rejection as an opportunity to learn, develop and grow.

Mr E. Milton delivered a lecture entitled 'The Nuclear Arms Race'. He gave a really interesting lecture about the progression of the arms race, from WW2 to the Cold War, and how that links to today's world.
