Academic Poster Conference
The annual Academic Poster Conference was a great success. Our Fourth Form and Lower Sixth students created posters on a wide range of subjects, from dyslexia to darts, genes to Disney, and even Lego! The creativity used to communicate their research was impressive, using eye-catching designs to provoke questions about their research.
Harry's Academic Poster research project has focussed on the use of drone aircraft in modern warfare, focussing particularly on the war between Russia and Ukraine. To illustrate how drones are used on the contemporary battlefield, during break-time he carried out a simulated drone strike on an armoured car right in the middle of the school campus. He successfully piloted a drone into the vehicle which triggered a small 'explosion' and a plume of 'smoke'.
