Adventurer visits Year 6
Year 6 had a fantastic afternoon with Adventurer Darren Edwards. Darren gave brilliant talk about his experiences: from overcoming a life-changing injury to leading record-breaking expeditions to the Poles. It was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to learn more about the Arctic for their 'Frozen Kingdoms' topic, and Darren was impressed with Year 6's knowledge too! Darren also talked about his upcoming world record-breaking attempt to complete the longest sit-ski expedition in the history of Antarctic exploration, covering the last 330km to the geographical South Pole.
It was a brilliant and inspiring afternoon for Year 6 in the Wrekin College Business School Lecture Theatre, and showed how you can redefine the impossible.
