Armistice Day
The whole Wrekin community joined together for a moving Remembrance service where we remembered all those, including the many Old Wrekinians, who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Pupils stood to represent each Old Wrekinian read out on the Roll of Honour, and pupils, staff and parents paid their own silent tributes as they laid their poppies on the chancel steps.
Our CCF marched through Wellington, along with other local organisations, to pay their respects at the town's memorial.
After our Remembrance service, the school paused at 11 o' clock to mark Armistice Day.
