Art Week

It was Art Week at Old Hall!

In Maths, Year 2 used their knowledge of money to apply multiplication skills to create arrays in the style of Andy Warhol’s POP ART. Maybe we should call it “MARTHS”!

Following on from their fabulous trip to Chester Zoo, Year One made some wonderful Andy Warhol-inspired collages.

In English, Year 4 made their own versions of front covers for their English text ‘King of the Cloud Forests’ by Michael Morpurgo. In History the children each illustrated an event during the battle of Hastings which we then put together to create our own version of Bayeux Tapestry.

Upper School children had a lot of fun during their Spanish lessons learning about Pablo Picasso. Our pupils created portraits using Picasso's Cubist style.

In Music Year 2 listened to Swan Lake and created art in response. Upper School composed a piece of music inspired by a piece of artwork, and the results were creative and effective.
