Author Visit Inspires Reception and Year 1 Pupils
Wrekin Prep was delighted to welcome acclaimed author Catherine Barr as part of her “Big Walk to Little Schools” project, an inspiring journey across the UK sharing stories that spark curiosity and a love of the natural world.
Catherine, author of over 35 books on nature, science and the environment, spent time with pupils in Reception and Year 1 delivering an engaging, interactive storytelling session. The children were captivated as she brought the natural world to life through her stories and encouraged them to think about the world around them in new and imaginative ways.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity to promote a love of reading, storytelling and environmental awareness among our youngest pupils, and we are very grateful to Catherine for sharing her time and creativity with us.
