Beth wins Gold at English National Championships!
Congratulations to Beth for her brilliant performance at the English National Swimming Championships in Sheffield.
Beth is now a Gold medallist and English Nationals Champion in the 100m freestyle (16 years age group), and a Silver medallist in the 200m freestyle! She also qualified for the 50m freestyle, finishing 5th in the final, and the 400m freestyle, finishing 14th.
Swim England wrote the below commentary:
"Beth flew home from lane three to claim the 16 years gold.She only broke the one-minute mark in the heats, but now she went under 59 seconds with an incredible two lengths where she finished in 58.74. She timed her race perfectly"
A special mention goes to Beth's coach, David Clarke of Wrekin Swimming Club, who was at Sheffield with Beth after a long, tough year of training together, which culminated in this competition. Well Done Beth!
