Bringing the Viking Age to Life
As part of this term’s Invasion topic, Year 4 pupils enjoyed an immersive Viking Workshop led by Portals to the Past.
The day began with an introduction to the Viking Age before pupils explored different aspects of Viking life, including their gods, battles and everyday activities. From fearsome invaders to settlers who made their homes in Britain, the workshop brought this fascinating period of history to life through a range of engaging, hands-on experiences.
The workshop gave pupils the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Vikings, bringing their classroom learning to life and helping them discover more about the people who shaped this period of British history.
