Buddies Begin at Wrekin Prep
New Buddy System Brings Wrekin Community Together
This week, our Year 6 pupils met their Reception and Year 1 buddies for the very first time, marking the start of an exciting new initiative here at Wrekin Prep.
The aim of the buddy system is to help our oldest pupils support and care for the youngest members of our school community. Year 6 will play with their buddies, read stories together, and even walk them to Chapel, creating special bonds that make our school an even more welcoming and nurturing place.
It was wonderful to see the first meetings take place, filled with smiles and excitement. We can’t wait to watch these friendships grow throughout the year.
