Celebrating 100 Years of Bayley House
As part of the Bayley House centenary celebrations at Wrekin, current Bayley pupils are proudly wearing special commemorative centenary ties, generously donated by the OWA. The ties mark this significant milestone and provide a meaningful connection between past and present generations of Bayleys during this landmark year.
More than 75 Old Bayleys returned to Wrekin on Sunday 17th May to celebrate 100 years of Bayley House and reconnect with old friends and the wider Wrekin community.
The day began with coffee and refreshments in the Business School before guests enjoyed tours of many familiar parts of the College, including old Bayley (now Lancaster House), College House, New School and the Music School, with some also visiting the Art School and Graham Building.
A special centenary service was then held in Chapel, led by Rev. Lee Plummer, with a reading from David Winterton (B. 1981–86). Following the service, guests gathered in the current Bayley House for prosecco and canapés before enjoying lunch together in the Dining Room.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich history and spirit of Bayley House, with friendships renewed, memories shared and new connections formed throughout the day.
