Chinese New Year
Old Hall celebrated Chinese New Year during their lessons.
A New Year maths challenge was set to celebrate Chinese New Year. There were “take away” gifts and red envelopes ready for each class to take on a traditional mathematical Chinese puzzle.
Reception prepared for Chinese New Year in many ways. They acted out the story, made a Chinese restaurant in the classroom, created decorations, sang songs and ordered numbers in maths.
One of our Year 3 pupils noticed that Reception were learning all about the Chinese New Year. In response, he made a wonderful and informative poster which he then presented to the year group, showing great initiative.
