Sport Round-Up: Triumphs and Outstanding Performances
Triumphs and Outstanding Performances
Football
It has been an exciting week for Wrekin Prep football!
Huge congratulations to our girls’ football team for an outstanding performance at the IAPS tournament. The team battled their way to the Plate Final, narrowly losing 1–0 in a tightly contested match. Throughout the tournament, the girls displayed remarkable skill and determination, conceding only three goals overall and producing two fantastic penalty shootout saves. Their teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship were a real credit to the school.
Meanwhile, it was a day of celebration for our Under 9 teams, who both came away victorious! Both the Under 9 A and B sides showed superb skill, teamwork, and determination throughout their matches. Every player gave their all, resulting in two brilliant wins and plenty of smiles all round. A huge well done to all the pupils and staff involved.
From thrilling finals to double victories, Wrekin Prep football is showing talent, dedication, and school spirit at every level!

Year 6 Enjoys a Netball Session with 1st Team Players
Year 6 at Wrekin Prep had a fantastic afternoon learning from some of the current senior 1st Team netball players.
The session gave pupils the chance to develop their skills, receive tips from experienced players, and enjoy fun, hands-on netball activities. It was a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation of Wrekin netballers and foster teamwork, confidence, and enthusiasm on the court.
