Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Celebration at Buckingham Palace
Three Old Wrekinians, Joe, Isaac and Hermione, recently enjoyed a memorable day at Buckingham Palace as they celebrated achieving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The Gold Award is the highest level of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme and represents years of commitment, perseverance and personal development. Having successfully completed the demanding requirements of the award, Joe, Isaac and Hermione were invited to Buckingham Palace to mark their achievement alongside other Gold Award recipients from across the country.
This special occasion was a fitting recognition of their hard work and dedication, and one that they will undoubtedly remember for years to come.
Their success also reflects the continuing strength of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Wrekin. Alongside our Old Wrekinians, current Upper Sixth student Carolina recently celebrated achieving her own Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and attended a Gold Award celebration at Buckingham Palace. Together, their achievements highlight the commitment and resilience that the Gold Award demands.
